What I usually cook for dinner

"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well."
'A Room of One's Own', Virginia Woolf, English novelist (1882-1941).

when I have time I always cook for myself mostly and for friends.  Or sometimes I get invited to be a chef for some parties.  I think... Breakfast: for energy to go thru the whole day.   Lunch: for taking a break for working during the day and fill more energy for afternoon activities.   Dinner: for enjoying  artistic cooking, art works that you can really consume.

II don't say I work 24/7 but pretty much like 18/7...Most of the time I will have to eat dinner on my desk and keep working in the same time.  I don't eat junk food no matter I have time to cook or not.  Anyway I love seafood! I would eat chicken, beef or pork for breakfast and lunch but for dinner I'd rather have seafood.  Only sometimes I go out and find a really good restaurant for a good steak then I don't mind taking a rain check with seafood.

First dish is Spicy Tuna Salad with lime & Chili sauce and boiled egg. Second one is Spicy Kale Salad with shrimp Serve with Jasmine Streamed Rice and Lime Ice Tea  ( my own special way to make this tea)

Stir Fried Mushroom with Shrimp and Oyster Sauce

Stir Fried Clam with Sweet Basil in Chili Sauce

Again! I'm eating dinner while I'm working or I'm working while I'm having dinner?

Cooking Chicken Green Curry  (Chicken and Thai eggplant in green curry)

Shrimp Salad with home made Italian Dressing

I don't know if I can live happily on this earth with out Strawberry

I've trained at the university on setting table and fold napkin in many styles... LOL

This is what I say that cooking is artistic works that you can realistically consume... Those two photos are my cooking, Phadthai (Stir fried rice noodles with chives, bean sprouts and shrimp Taking photo is one of my favourite hobbies as well and I wish one day I can be a professional photographer for taking photo of food menu and have my own exhibition.  Sometimes I wonder if I can present my cooking in a sexy way, just the way they're cooked or prepare to be cooked then have a sexy food magazine like "Playboy Magazine"  Naah!! I'm joking.  But really! Just the way they look!

Sometimes I would make myself a little healthy snack during my day or sometimes after dinner.  I don't eat that much of sweet because I'm already sweet (as acid!)  LOL.   It's Japanese Cucumber and Australian Carrot Serve with American Thousand Island garnish with Japanese Prawn's Egg  It's so international snack, isn't it?

I love good steaks sometimes I cook Pork Chop or Beef Steak with my own recipe sauce.  I call it as "Golden Treasure Sauce By Aeh"  There are loads of ingredients in this sauce but something very precious that I mix and it's in golden colour.  I bet you would love it if you like steak... Anyway always make sure that you eat steak with Salad to help to digest. I love Italian dressing very much.  I have my own recipe for cooking Italian sauce too. I didn't like Balsamic before but after I've found this recipe,  I start to love it now.  Just try to be open minded about food and try them before making a decision whether you like it or not.  I was so conservative about food before that I wouldn't try new things or new ways to cook... I think I can't create anything new with out trying something that I never had before.  Cooking is also philosophy,            but not all chef can be philosopher!

I cook spaghetti with seafood sauce when I have friends come join my dinner.  Since it takes me so long to cook the sauce then I'd rather have people to join me instead of eating a lone.  My mixed seafood sauce normally I cook with mussel from New Zealand since it's quite big and very tasty, scallop and prawn.

That white tick soup is Tom Kha Gai  (chicken in coconut soup; Galangal flavored coconut soup. Sour and hot broth) and Broccoli Stir fried with Shrimp  serve with  Jasmine Streamed Rice and of course my favourite drink  Orange Juice

Another healthy menu... A bunch of Veggies; Green Lettuce, Sweet Basil, Parsley, Garlic, Chili, Cucumber, Green Mango, Pork ball, Sweet & Sour Sauce and Rice Paper.  You just wrap everything on the Rice Paper and take a whole big bite in your mouth... hmmm!!! so yummy!  I love it!  Anyway I always make sure that I have some fruits after I have dinner...even tho I eat a lot veggies but Fruit is great for you... For me Fruit is my snack that I can grab to eat anytime from my garden.  And this is also the reason why I love gardening as well.

You're welcome to my kitchen anytime to join me dinner.  Please don't hesitate or be too shy to ask me to cook anything that you would enjoy eating.  For me I'm more happy to see my guests dine well at my kitchen.  Have a great day :))
